About Us
Brooks Cattle Company is a family owned and operated ranch in northwest Oklahoma. We are dedicated to providing high quality beef to families and individuals while caring for the land and animals entrusted to us. We believe in honoring the animals, land, and consumers, while holding ourselves to a high standard. We are Verified Natural, CARE Certified, Source Verified, and Non-Hormone Treated Beef Verified through Where Food Comes From™.
Jeremy and Jamie Brooks purchased their first cow in 2003 and found their passion for the animals. As first-generation ranchers, they then instilled the love of the land to the next generation and work alongside their two sons and expanding family. Ranching allows our family to spend high-quality time together while learning, growing, and pursuing excellence.
Where Food Comes From ™ Certifications
Our ranch is approved by Where Food Comes From™ for Source Verified, Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC), Verified Natural Beef (VNB), and CARE Certified. We scored a 100% on our CARE Certified Scorecard on our most recent audit, placing us 9th out of 718 participating producers!
Third-party verification programs allow us to communicate to consumers that we are doing what we say we are doing! We are proud to be third party verified!
CARE Certified
Where Food Comes From™ CARE Certified is a sustainability Standard that encompasses Animal Care, Environmental Stewardship and People & Community. It requires an annual onsite audit. Our beef is raised Sustainably From the Heart™.
Verified Natural Beef
Verified Natural Beef is Source Verified and NHTC approved, but it also ensures we have never given our cattle beta agonists, ionophores, antibiotics or animal by-products. This is also an onsite audit conducted by an independent auditor. This means our cattle are raised without antibiotics, raised without added hormones, and are fed no animal by-products.
Non-Hormone Treated Cattle
Non-Hormone Treated Cattle are not given hormones at any point in time. In addition to being Source Verified, we underwent an onsite audit by an independent auditor to ensure that our cattle have not received hormones.
Source Verified
Source Verified means that an Electronic Identification (EID) tag is placed in the ear of every animal that will track them from our ranch throughout the entire supply chain.
