What is Tallow?
Beef tallow is beef fat that is rendered by slowly heating until the fat separates from any impurities, leaving a substance full of fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and Vitamin K. Our tallow comes from ONLY our animals and contributes to our sustainability goal of using the whole cow. Tallow is extremely similar to skin's natural sebum, and melts easily into your skin, giving deep moisture. ​
What's In Your Products?
Just as we want our beef to be as whole and natural as possible, we keep it simple with our skincare too. Tallow, Jojoba oil, Vitamin E, and Shea Butter for moisturizing; Beeswax in our lip balm; Optiphen (a paraben-free and formaldehyde-free preservative); Arrowroot for texture, and high-quality essential oils for scent. Never any synthetic dyes or fragrances.
Who Makes Your Products?
Jamie here! I handmake all of our products with love and intention. I once received a prescription for a topical lotion and after using it, was shocked at how much our skin can absorb. I was alarmed, and began doing more research about the chemicals my family was putting on our skin. I have loved scents and lotions since I was a little girl, and I've really enjoyed creating these products using our own animal product. I can feel confident that I know exactly what is going on my skin.

Additionally, I believe that when we maintain a whole-animal approach (striving to use all products from the harvested animal), this honors the life given and the provision from God. We were given many fruits of the earth, and we are called to make the most of His Creation rather than discarding parts unnecessarily.
Why Proverbs 31 on the label?
In Proverbs 31:10-31, King Lemuel's mother detailed some virtues he should seek to find in a wife. These virtues were things such as being industrious, entrepreneurial, wise, strong, generous, kind, a supportive partner, faithful, and God-fearing. I strive every day to be that kind of wife and example. I wish to encourage all those who use our products to be guided in the pursuit of noble character as described in Proverbs 31. As a woman of faith, I give God all the glory for each opportunity and blessing that our family receives.
